I’ve used the Mapei Grout Refresh product in three of our homes now and each time I’m blown away by the before and after grout paint transformation. It’s a little bit of magic in a bottle.

The Grout ink formulation is designed to restore your stained tile grout which is caused by bacteria that turns into mould, especially in shower cubicles and around bath tubs. Not only does this product restore the grout’s look, it also helps prevent further bacteria with its anti-bacterial formulation. One more if you don’t mind….Are there any bad effects if there is mold or mildew deep inside the grout that doesn’t scrub out? I’m wondering if the grout paint with the sealant will make the grout smooth so that it won’t stain so easily. There are a lot of advantages and disadvantages to ready mixed grout. First, it’s already mixed and you don’t have to worry about doing it. It saves time! This rougher surface needed a more abrasive approach than simply coating the grout in paint. I really needed to work the new paint into the grout’s surface.
