About this deal
Meanwhile, far away in New Swissland, the illustrious scientist Professor Pippy Pee-Pee Poopypants has created various devices to shrink and enlarge objects. He decides to bring his inventions to America. None of the major universities pay any attention to his inventions because they can’t stop laughing at his name. Finally, since he’s running out of money, Professor Poopypants answers Principal Krupps’ ad for an elementary science teacher. This one was fun and is heavily featured in the movie. The animators did a great job bringing the artwork to life. And if you've heard kids watch or read this, you know they think "Poopypants" is truly the funniest name ever. If you've done or watched any improv type shows with fake names, you might know adults often find it funny too. When George and Harold arrive in the alternate universe, Pippy Pee-Pee Poopypants/Tippy Tinkletrousers was seen as a good guy. He was working for the fire department along with Zorx, Klax, and Jennifer, who also became good.

Professor Poopypants is then arrested and hauled off to jail for his crimes. From the advice of George and Harold, he legally changes his own name so that no one will make fun of it anymore. Unfortunately, he changes it = to that of his maternal grandfather's, Tippy Tinkletrousers, which only makes the prisoners (and police officers) laugh at him even more, much to his anger. Later in the treehouse, George and Harold reflect on the moral to not make fun of people, believing this to be their first story to have a moral. Pippy is a hero/villain in the book series, but a villain in the movie. He performs a Heel Face Turn at the end of the fourth book. But at the start of the ninth book, he betrays George and Harold by arresting them for their crimes. Poor Professor Pippy Pee-Pee Poopypants can’t catch a break as a new elementary school teacher because of his unusual name. Harold, George and the rest of the kids simply cannot stop laughing at him—so he devises a plan! But, in creating this master scheme he becomes the bad guy, and as my Mom would say, “The baddies NEVER win.” Therefore, Captain Underpants must come to the town’s rescue!I loved the pranks (not the name calling) by George and Harold (or should I say Fluffy and Cheeseball). They should just ask their parents to move to another school, one that doesn't mind imagination and instead will motivate and stimulate the brains of these 2 kids. Before Professor Poopypants is then hauled off to jail. George then questions Professor Poopypants wouldn't it have been smarter to try changing his own name instead of forcing the rest of the world to change theirs. The surprised professor notes he never thought of that. As per George's advice, Professor Poopypants changes his name so no one will make fun of it anymore. Sadly, he chooses his grandfather's name (on his mother's side), Tippy Tinkletrousers, which Dr. Diaper and the inmates at jail facility make fun of him (including the guards). There are two songs about him: Go Poopypants! and Hallelujah! (from Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie).
