I have not tried this one as I didn’t know it was a potato vodka. I will give it a try, and you should do a review on Blue Ice American Vodka from Texas. I really enjoyed it straight up. My wife enjoyed it mixed. Occasionally I add a little vanilla to my vodka, and this was great straight as well. I used to be a Stli guy, preferring their Vanil. I still enjoy Stoli, but less often as I found others I like better. Frankly, I think most vodkas come up short when mixing Martinis. Fris, Ketel One or any other briney-tasting vodka works much better for a Martini. Ugh, bummer. I really enjoyed my first bottle of Chopin earlier this year, but this second one I got is rather off in taste, like it somehow got contaminated or something. Maybe that’s why they were selling it so cheap at that particular store.

Using a teaspoon or a ½-inch melon baller, scoop balls of chocolate mixture, transferring them to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper as you work. Add 3 oz. Chopin Potato Vodka, 1 tbsp. spiced pumpkin purée, and 1 oz. cinnamon clove brown sugar simple syrup into a martini shaker filled with ice. Mezcal Burrito Fiestero®, Señor Maguey®, grapefruit and lime juice, jalapeño slices, and the dash of Angostura are added into a shaker with ice.

I am really curious to try the rye version of Chopin. If it is as smooth as their famous potato vodka, but adds a little more flavor like Sobieski rye vodka, this could become one of my.favorite martini vodkas.

Very good vodka. Very little flavor, and what it has is quite pleasant. I would describe it as bittersweet (more sweet than bitter though). Very smooth as well; for me, it’s the vodka I can drink the fastest out of all that I’ve tried. I felt a slight burn (especially right after it went down), but nothing that’s off-putting. Our message must be getting through to our customers because we are growing double digits, and we keep expanding our footprint. We will continue to educate consumers on the beauty of vodka and keep working to bring new and exciting products to the market.

Put the ice cubes in the shaker with Koch El Mezcal, peach puree, and hibiscus and strawberry concentrate. They don’t sell Luksusova around here. I’ve heard good things about it.
