About this deal
Odd the person only moans about it during am anniversary year. Last time they complained during it’s 50th year. Don’t hear about them the rest of the time. It’s a shame doesn’t want the work celebrated if they had a relative involved. Alongside the episodes, which have been remastered, the box set also includes extensive new special features – exclusive interviews, documentaries, photo galleries, PDF documents and much more.
Now the next important question: Do we know if the beginning box set DVD is going to drift out of print? ReplyI don’t think leaving a space for future animations would be a good idea since these sets are going to be massive anyway, and it would just make the set look incomplete unless you spring for the animation also. I was specifically saying that people shouldn’t hassle him over Unearthly Child, and let the BBC’s lawyers do their thing.
All serials of season 20 were released individually on DVD between 1999 and 2011, with The Five Doctors being the first ever serial released on DVD. I can see why this took them so long to make and with all the CGI etc I do think this will be the last set for the year. Making-of Documentaries Exclusive to Blu-ray, new documentaries covering Arc Of Infinity and The King's DemonsEither way, I’m buying my set right now whilst I type this message as I made myself a promise that if any new Doctor Who media (DVDs / Blu-Ray / Steelbook / 4K / Box Sets) is released going forward that I will buy all of it so I never miss out and have to pay ridiculous prices again. MAKING OF DOCUMENTARIES Including a brand new Making Of documentary for The Two Doctors plus a revisit to Season 22 locations with Colin Baker and Nicola Bryant Surely they are using all the Five Doctors Studio footage they have? They did 24hrs of studio/ location footage for Season 24 so no reason not to hear. It’s nine discs after all. Unless it’s all bad or has video/ audio issues.
