if you’re ok with cotton/spandex or other fabric blends like micromodal, tencel, etc., then any of the brands i just listed above would work for you. now, i’m not sure how much that shirt will shrink in the wash, but it does have 4% elastane (spandex) so it might not shrink too much. J.Crew is a hidden gem for basics at super affordable prices. This washed and garment-dyed tee is a perfect example. It feels worn-in and cozy from the first wear, like a long-time friend. We tested it to look great on its own, feel lived-in right from the first wear, and be extra soft. (And we love how the fabric looks better with each wear.) Not only is this tee made in the USA, the Supima cotton it's made out of is grown in the USA. All that is great, but it is also a really nice all-purpose t-shirt, which is the important part. We found it great for wearing on its own, and love how it's garment-dyed for extra softness.

my only nit is that it’s only available in white, and not other neutral colors like grey/heather grey or tone. not sure about the weight either, but i have a suspicion that it’s light enough to wear as an undershirt. Keep collections to yourself or inspire other shoppers!
