The Disappearing Act: The gripping new psychological thriller from the bestselling author of Something in the Water
About this deal
De Changy suggests that MH-370 was approached by two US AWACS (Airborne Warning and Control System) aircraft – one on each side – that jammed its communications and then, in a botched operation, to try and get it to divert to a US-controlled airfield. That’s to funny, you destroyed one of her excuses. Nothing I bought my narc was good enough, but to acutely give her something that she didn’t like actual reason not to like would have been priceless. However weird that sounds.

Turns out the Summer Solstice is Today, June 20th in 2016, not the 21st like I thought. So, without further ado, inspired by the works of the great Pete Bogg’s, here it is at last, after almost 3 years of waiting and promises, may I present…

With that being said, silent treatments – where a person disappears for days or weeks on end – are not part of a healthy relationship, nor should disagreements be handled this way. That’s a sign that the person doing the disappearing is either emotionally unavailable or using the disappearing acts as a way to control their partner. It is popular these days to accuse the US government of being a sinister puppet master, even getting top Chinese leaders to go along with a cover-up that killed many of their citizens. This is a case where there is no evidence to support such a thesis. My score of 2/5 relates to the quality of writing, which I found a bit poor (lots of repetitions). But by reading the book I was looking to get a better picture of all the facts surrounding the MH370 disappearance mystery, and I was very well served, and very much enjoy reading the whole book, setting aside the Epilogue that gives the author's view on what she thinks happened and why, but this is pure speculation and it should be considered fiction at this point. Auditions, screen tests, cutthroat competition: Catherine Steadman is familiar with the challenges of the acting biz. . . . Her perspective as an actress and a writer bring realism to this novel, as she dips into Hollywood’s murky waters.. . . In any good noir novel, an atmospheric locale is vital, and Steadman richly evokes Los Angeles ‘in all its monstrous glory.’ . . . Reading The Disappearing Act is much like watching a suspenseful film.” — The Washington Post
